Excellent, prompt service & our food was delicious as always

Chicken, beef & beans top create-your-own nachos & jumbo burritos & cilantro sauce–lathered chimichangas sate rumbling stomachs

Like most modern conflicts, the rivalry between soft and hard tacos will not end until one side gets eaten by a bear. Broker a culinary truce with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of Mexican fare at Sol Aztecas Frankfort.

The epicurean alchemists at Sol Aztecas Frankfort dish up a menu brimming with fajitas, burritos, tacos, and enchiladas. Create-your-own nachos quell creative impulses, letting patrons sculpt a self-portrait out of jalapeños or top chips with selections of shredded chicken, ground beef, and refried beans ($7.99). Headlining acts perform next, starring the El Jumbo! burrito bursting with chicken or beef, beans, and pico de gallo ($13.99) and a chimichanga slathered in cilantro sauce ($10.99). Meanwhile, chili con queso smothers the Suprema quesadilla ($10.99), and chorizo plumps up a trio of corn tortillas ($10.99) to distract mouths from shouting out their owners' social security number.

About Sol Aztecas Frankfort

Chef Ramiro Gandara literally attached his name to Ramiro’s Cantina, and he figuratively posts his family recipes all over the walls of his restaurant's kitchen. Referencing these recipes, his team dishes up a string of Mexican cuisine staples, such as burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, alongside a few Tex-Mex hybrids, such as guacamole burgers, enchilada casseroles, and homemade chili. In the cantina — which is Spanish for “proof that gravity exists” — bartenders pour tequila into margaritas and draft beer into tall glasses.
