Sorrel Restaurant / Bistro
At Sorrel Restaurant / Bistro, owner and executive chef Adrian Halmagean and head chef Doug Sims work together to create a menu of upscale American eats that mixes some surprises in with the favorites. Diners might begin with an appetizer of duck confit tacos or a serving of whipped-goat-cheese toast. They can then move on to an entree such as salmon with an achiote-honey glaze or a bone-in rosemary pork chop. The drink menu includes craft brews on tap, an extensive selection of wine, and signature cocktails such as The Communist, which combines gin, orange juice, and cherry brandy. While they eat, diners admire original works of art by artist Sebastian Halmagean, and on certain evenings they may get to enjoy the sounds of live entertainment or of people chanting, "It's Tuesday evening!"
