What You'll Get
Without food and drink, humans' hollow bodies would be one-note whistles howling monotone melodies in the wind. Treat your esophageal flute to a tastier tune with today's Groupon. For $5, you get $10 worth of coffee, gelato, and cafe fare at Sorso Cafe, quaintly nestled in the Harborview Marina.
Sorso's menu features a variety of tasty Italian treats that will teach even the crudest of stomach growls to elegantly roll their r's. Start your morning right with a swift sip of organic espresso ($1.65), a creamy cappuccino ($3.35 for 16 oz.), or an icy frappe ($4.25 for 20 oz.). Sorso Cafe serves only Chesapeake Bay Roasting Co. coffee, a company committed to quality and eco-friendly production practices. Calm your caffeine jitters with a hearty breakfast sandwich ($3.55), a refreshing yogurt and granola cup ($3.95), or one of Sorso's sweet pastries ($1.45–$1.95).
Customers looking to fill up after an exhausting day of gull counting along the harbor can try the Manzo sandwich, stuffed with roasted beef, blue cheese, caramelized onions, and horseradish mayo ($6.95), or a personal Mediterranean pizza, topped with feta and parmesan cheeses, roasted red peppers, and black olives ($6.95). Because Sorso knows that the happiest palates are cleansed palates, it offers more than 15 flavors of gelato and sorbetto for dessert or a cool afternoon snack ($3.95 for a regular serving size), also available by the pint ($7.95) or quart ($12.95). Like the philanthropic neighbor who hasn't password-protected his Internet, Sorso Cafe also offers free WiFi to its customers, making it a true neighborhood favorite. Groupon customers may purchase up to three, but may only use one per visit.
- If it’s the gelato that got everyone in Federal Hill to visit Sorso Café, it’s the coffee and espresso drinks that keeps them coming back. They use only 100% organic, Fair Trade coffee and espresso beans, and hormone free milk. And if that’s not enough, all the coffee beans are roasted in-house, so you won’t find a more magical tasting coffee anywhere in Baltimore. – Ben Stump, ChangeUpMag
- During the day, it's a coffee shop befitted with ambiance and WIFI making it a perfect spot to do a little work away from the office. At night, Sorso transforms into an eatery which boasts a nice selection of wines…I anticipate that this will be the place to be in the summer, as well. With the marina right there, boaters and locals will find what they need in this new Federal Hill attraction. – Celeste Corsaro, Baltimore Eats
