Choose Between Two Options
- $59 for sushi-making and sake-tasting for one ($79 value)
- $110 for sushi-making and sake-tasting for two ($158 value)
Expert Sushi Chef and Chiso Owner Hirohiko Kirita teaches the class, instructing on how to make five kinds of sushi rolls. Guests also taste three kinds of sake, then choose their favorite for a full pour. The chef sends you home with a sushi-making guide including recipes, local buying tips, and more.
For a bit of a twist, the event also includes a challenge. The chef divides the group into teams and provides a secret ingredient (such as Sriracha or string cheese), then tests the groups on their newly acquired skills. The winners leave with a prize. See available dates and times here.
Sound Excursions describes their carefully curated group experiences as "field trips for adults." It's easy to see why: every outing takes groups to a new realm of Washington, whether it's the frothy shores of Puget Sound, inland forests and mountains, or tables at Seattle's thriving restaurants. The events held at these diverse locations range from culinary workshops on topics such as sushi-making and moonshine-tasting, to adventurous excursions with whitewater rafting or kayaking, to laid-back themed party cruises. For many outings, luxury transportation is provided.
