Q:

I hope someone can answer in less than 4 hours! Will I get a refund if my vision isn't bad enough for surgery? Call me a baby, but I've never worn glasses and I'm going on 50 and now I need to have good light or the paper a certain distance to see some print. When I get my eyes checked, it seems like the doctor says it is my option on whether or not I want to get glasses or not. Since my eyes seem to be continually deteriating, is it even wise to get surgery now before they have deteriated all the way? My eyes might be slightly worse than an eye examination I had Novermber 2010 that the prescription shows labeled under "sphere" +100 and +050. I will check back in a few hours to see if you were able to respond in time. Thanks!

Q:

Should I be worried that a blade flap is used instead of a laser flap?. I heard there are more likely to have complications with blade flaps than laser flaps?. Thanks!

Ghassan A.  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

Hello Ghassan, Our surgeon Dr. Phillips prefers the blade over the laser to cut the flap. There isnt more complication one over the other. It is a Doctor's preference on how they like to do the procedure. Please feel free to call me with any more questions. Thanks Randi Baker 206-622-2020

Q:

Does this price include all of the appointments and prescriptions needed or will there be additional costs involved? Also, how do I schedule an appointment after the deal is purchased?

Q:

I know you've answered similar questions, but I just want to be sure: I know I have a prescription worse than -5 diopters. 1) Am I still eligible for a full refund if I am not found to be a good candidate? 2) Am I likely to incur any additional charges? Thanks again

Helen C.  asked on  Feb 24, 2013

A:

Hello Helen, you will definiteley get a full refund if you are not a candidate. The only time an extra charge would apply is if you have extremely dry eyes and need to have punctal plugs put in them but most insurances cover that. The deal is for the Lasik procedure and all pre and post op visits for 2 years and an enhancement if needed. Please feel free to call me with any questions Thanks randi Baker Lasik Coordinator 206-622-2020

Q:

I have a -7.5 contact lens perscription, and my previous optometrist said that I am a good candidate for laser eye surgery. Will you still be willing to take me? I am willing to pay a little more above the groupon price at our consultation.

Eleanore M.  asked on  Feb 22, 2013

A:

Hi Eleanore, there is no extra charge for whatever your prescription is. Dr. Phillips will do a complete examination on you and measure the thickness of your cornea. He will then determine if you are a candidate or not. Please feel free to call me with any questions. Thanks Randi Baker Lasik Coordinator 206-622-2020

Q:

Can this Groupon be used in combination with an insurance plan to further lower the costs? I have VSP that covers a portion of this procedure.

Stephen J.  asked on  Feb 21, 2013

A:

Hello no unfortunately it cant be combined because you are paying Groupon directly and they cant take an insurance card. Also VSP only gives a 15% discount off of our full price so you are getting a much better deal with Groupon. Please call me if you have any questions. Randi Baker Lasik Coordinator 206-622-2020

Q:

I've wanted to have this surgery for a long time but frankly someone coming at my eye with a blade or a laser gives me great anxiety. What do you do to relieve this feeling. I can't be the only one. Thanks, Keri

Keri S.  asked on  Feb 21, 2013

A:

Hi Keri, Yes it is so normal to have anxiety over this. You will have a team around you to talk with you and you will be given a lot of numbing drops and a sedative to help calm you down. Dr. Phillips has done refractive surgery for over 20 years and is great with his patients. Please call me with any questions or concerns. Thanks Randi Lasik coordinator 206-622-2020
