What You'll Get
Golf is considered a gentlemen’s game due to its emphasis on proper etiquette, color-coordinated outfits, and the removal of all brass knuckles and inflatable billy clubs before competition. Learn how to fight fair with today’s Groupon to Reno/Tahoe Golf Academy located at the South Reno Athletic Club. Classes are offered on Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Choose between the following options:
- For $25, you get one 30-minute K-Vest golf lesson (a $60 value).
- For $39, you get five group fitness golf classes (a $120 value).
PGA professional Brett J.B. Kuhnsman welcomes golfers of all skill levels for a 30-minute instruction session in a weatherproof indoor driving range inside the South Reno Athletic Club. Club wielders can then polish fundamental golf techniques including grip, ball position, stance, posture, and arm swing with a personal K-Vest analysis. K-Vest TPI 3D is a performance-improving, wireless, 3-D motion-capture system that records players’ power signatures and swing measurements, and transforms people into similarly dressed 8-bit avatars. The K-Vest provides instant visual and auditory feedback that computes golfers’ movement patterns and diagnoses their swing faults. Afterward, golfers can enjoy all the amenities of the South Reno Athletic Club, which are included in the full-day pass.
Golf fitness classes consist of one hour of golf-specific muscle-memory training to improve players’ form and tone their figure to resemble a svelte pitching wedge. Stretches, weight training, and a variety of fitness regimens are employed to develop muscle memory in order to improve and preserve a proper golf swing. Training kits may be purchased for players to train at home.
