They make you buy there overpriced Fiocchi shotgun shells (9.40 a box that includes the tax) if you are not a member. The typical bar food, minus hamburgers. Seriously no Hamburgers, what adult wants to eat a hotdog, or chicken tenders.

Relaxed atmosphere and decent stations for clays, albeit a smaller venue than Horse and Hunt in Prior Lake The food was really good too!

We had lost of fun shooting here! Gun rental was $10 and ammo had to be purchased on site. There were lots of different options for how the pigeons were launched so there was lots of variety. The food was simple but filling for a good price and the people there were very helpful.

Shot sporting clays for the 1st time. It was great. Staff was wonderful, knowledgeable and professional. Members and patrons were great too. They politely offered both tips and club rule reminders. Can’t wait to go again!

About South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club

Ever since its inception in 1935, the South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club has challenged its visitors’ aim and timing in the rugged backwoods surrounding the Mississippi River. At year-round shooting ranges, guests raise their shotguns on four trap-shooting fields and three skeet-shooting fields. They can also travel to eight raised, wooden stands on a 50-target sporting-clay course or switch up positions on a five-stand field, blasting at targets that simulate the flight patterns of various game birds. To challenge technique and speed, the staff fires a range of specialty targets such as vertical-launching springing teals and arcing chandelles.

When not training beginners, instructors host leagues and seasonal tournaments where competitors test their shooting prowess. All visitors can refuel at an onsite restaurant and bar, or stock up on shells, earplugs, and apparel at the pro shop.
