$79 for an Eight-Hour Concealed Firearms Permit Course ($165 Value)
During the eight-hour course, NRA-certified instructors cover the skills needed to obtain a concealed-carry permit in the State of Nevada, including how to safely handle a handgun and fire it from the correct shooting position. The instructors also illuminate various firearms laws. Customers may choose to take the course in a single eight-hour session (available on Saturdays) or split the course into two four-hour classes on consecutive Tuesdays and Thursdays. See the current class schedule here. If participants wish to take the class for an endorsed CCW application, they must also prove their prowess at the range with a revolver or semiautomatic pistol. Though the course includes a $15 range fee, shooters still need to supply their own firearms and ammunition. The application also requires an additional $97.50 fee to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, which covers the necessary background check and fingerprints.
