Q:

I would like to keep photos of individual events together for a "slide" show. If I send slides or photos to you for conversion will you keep them in the order I sent them? I'd be ok with numbering the cardboard on the slides, but would rather not write on the photos. Tod

Dorothy D.  asked on  Jan 12, 2013

A:

Hey Tod, the files can be scanned in order but the order on the DVD and when you download on your computer depends on the file size and your computer settings. You can arrange them after you get them. Thanks!

Q:

Hello. I have 38 - 8mm films (small reels) that I would like to convert to DVD. How many Groupons would I need. How many will fit on a DVD? Thanks.

Ted D.  asked on  Jan 12, 2013

A:

Hey Ted, that depends on what size your film reels are. You can go to southtree.com/order to see the different proces!

Southtree- Amanda  from  Self  replied on  Jan 12, 2013

Q:

Do you have a budget option? We have many many old 8mm 7" movies from the 70's - I don't necessarily need "state of the art transfer", but would like to get as many transferred as I can for a reasonable price. Also, do you automatically add music to the DVDs or is that an option? Thank you!

Anne F.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

Hi Anne, we do have a budget option! You can get your 8mm transferred onto a DVD for $8.95. This DVD does not include titles. We do not add music. Everything is transferred true to the original. Thanks!

Q:

Hello! I've been trying to figure out how many Groupons to purchase because I have 27 tapes (13 VHS and 14 Hi8). When I go to your website, it tells me that normally 11 tapes would cost about $142, but you're saying that I would only need to buy the $100 Groupon to get 11 tapes, so I'm a little bit confused! If I have 27 tapes, would the $250 Groupon cover them or no? Thanks so much for whatever info you can provide!!

Sophie B.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

Hey Sophie, you can get 11 of the Budget DVDs for the $100 Groupon. The pricing on the homepage of the website is for the Standard DVD. You can view all of our pricing at southtree.com/order. You can get 27 tapes converted to the Budget DVDs for the $250 Groupon. Thanks!

Q:

Sounds like you do not do editing? Like take 8 small reels and combine to one DVD, taking out the blank areas?

Penny I.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

Hey Penny, we can combine your reels onto a DVD but we do not extensively edit the footage. Thanks!

Q:

I have 47 small 8mm films reels that I would like to have placed on DVD. Will the $75 Groupon cover that many reels?

Trichia O.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

Hey Trichia, 3" film reels are $15.95 per reel to convert. For the $250 Groupon you can get around 15 reels converted. Thanks!
