Prior to the surgery, you’ll consult with Dr. Alfredo Rodriguez, who will help you determine what to expect and decide whether it’s safe for you to proceed.

During the procedure, which generally takes one hour, Dr. Rodriguez makes an incision below or above the pectoral muscles and inserts the silicone or saline implants, which increase the size and fullness of breasts. The procedure itself is performed under general anesthesia. Scarring is generally minimal, and recovery varies depending on the patient. Patients may be able to resume a restricted level of activity three to four days after surgery and generally make a full recovery within a few weeks. All surgeries will be performed at the North Texas Team Care Surgery Center in Mesquite.

About Southwest Plastic Surgery Center

More than 8,000 miles separate Manila from Dallas, a journey that board-certified plastic surgeon Alfedo Rodriguez made in stages. It began at the University of Santo Tomas where he earned his bachelor’s degree and doctorate and set himself up for a residency of general surgery at the University of Philippines. In New Jersey, he established his US credentials with a residency in general surgery before completing a residency in plastic surgery at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland. He first arrived in Dallas as the chairman of the department of surgery at Dallas Regional Medical Center before opening Southwest Plastic Surgery Center. At the center, he and his staff perform liposuction and cosmetic surgeries along with less-invasive options for rejuvenation such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Dr. Rodriguez is equally adept at matters of function as of form: he also specializes in hand surgeries that alleviate carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive-stress injuries.
