Versed in a variety of massage techniques and experienced in martial arts, licensed therapist Lee Campbell manipulates soft tissues to relax musculoskeletal systems and encourage proper alignment. During the Royal Treatment massage, soothing Swedish massage strokes, hot stones, and repurposed whac-a-mole mallets relieve tension. Lee also surrounds patients in aromatherapy clouds as he guides them through proper breath work and 10 minutes of passive stretching to further melt tension from muscles. Athlete’s Retreat massages begin with an initial phase where Lee mixes in heated rocks to radiate warmth into the body while deep-tissue strokes and trigger-point therapy work to restore muscles to greater elasticity. During a second phase, Lee gently stretches limbs with a custom-designed passive-stretching routine to enhance the first phase’s therapeutic properties. In addition to inviting relaxation, massage may ease aches and improve posture in humans and stimulate human-touch receptors in robots.
