About This Deal
Booking your body double a day at a tranquil spa creates a soundproof alibi for days spent stealing office supplies from the National Guard. Make your stand-in stand out with today’s Groupon: for $18, you get a day pass to use for up to 24 full hours (a $35 value) at Spa World in Centreville, VA. Or, for $40, you get a day pass and a half-hour foot massage (an $80 value).
The sprawling Spa World is based on a jimjilbang, a Korean bathhouse and sauna that contains far more than your average Western sanitarium. With today's deal, your day pass will give you a full 24 hours of access to this polished palace of pulchritude, stuffed full of spa amenities ($35). In the grand and steamy Korean tradition, there are numerous communal facilities for corporeal detoxification, including seven separate poultice rooms that generate radiant heat using elements drawn from Mother Earth's natural petticoats, such as hot red clay, germanium, heated charcoal, and freshly baked brownies. A sauna and bade pool provide numerous jets and showers for a full-body bath experience (nudity is required to keep the pool free of clothing-based contaminants). If you choose to purchase a foot massage in addition to the day pass, your swollen board-trodders will be soothed to the max by the hands of a trained massage therapist ($45 for 30 minutes).
Numerous guests make beauty-based pilgrimages to Spa World from all across the region in order to partake in its rejuvenating services. A resting room provides space for visitors to sleep if they want their holiday to last overnight, while a juice bar and restaurant provide dumplings and other Korean cuisine to sustain nutrition levels throughout the dalliance. Eastern decorative touches and warm lighting soften the atmosphere to provide a full sensorium of escape from the day-to-day doldrums of work, Legos, domestic life, and raptor wrangling.

About Spa World
As its name implies, Spa World blends the spa traditions of diverse cultures into a contemporary oasis dedicated to total-body relaxation. The 50,000-square-foot, modernized jimjilbang—a traditional Korean bathhouse—admits guests seven days a week, giving them up to 12 hours of open access to a bade pool, a sauna, a fitness center, and seven poultice rooms.
One of the spa’s many focal points is the bade pool, which targets sore muscles with nine water-blasting massage stations, including a neck shower and a bench jet that sprays high-pressure water onto feet, calves, waists, and sides to increase blood circulation. Nudity is required to keep the pool free of clothing-based contaminants. Blue onyx, amethyst gems, and ice arch overhead in the seven poultice rooms, each of which is artfully decorated and designed to detoxify bodies. Rare substances comprise the walls and ceilings; Korean red clay radiates purifying bio-infrared rays, and salt rocks imported from the Himalayas expand pores. To nourish guests who choose to remain for the day pass’s full 12 hours, the onsite restaurant sometimes pilfers these salt rocks to help flavor its authentic Asian cuisine.
