Space Coast Lightfest

Space Coast Lightfest transforms Wickham Park's mile-long paths into a winter wonderland, navigable primarily by car. The entire display includes more than 2.5 million lights, and includes glowing sculptures and animated displays in addition to wrapped trees and archways. The glowing trail ends with a grand finale of a 200-foot long light tunnel; guests drive through more than 30,000 bulbs, which bathes them in an ever-changing array of colors.

Though the display caters to those in cars, there are more ways to get around. Visitors to the park can hop into a hayride for a more stately experience. Additionally, the Lightfest typically has one car-free day on the calendar, known as the Stroll. On Stroll days, people walk the length of the park, enjoying live entertainment, horseback rides, bounce houses, food and craft vendors, and even a visit with Santa so you can ask him for a special present or finally confront him about his cholesterol levels.

My boyfriend and I went for the first time this weekend, we were staying in Cocoa Beach for the weekend and thought it looked fun. It was a really nice light display, but be prepared to walk around a decent sized lake to see it all! We thought it was a drive through thing but you have to park and walk.

As always the Lightfest is a great experience for young and old. This year more lights were added making the experience even more enjoyable.
