you need to get more people in to the restaurant somehow. It was almost empty on a Saturday night at 8pm?! Makes you feel that the restaurant is not doing well and..... I really think that you need to lower your entree prices. My bill without the Groupon's and with tip would have been ~$320 for a party of 7. Not much liqour (2 kids), shared appetizers and no deserts. We have very fine dining establishments we can frequent for that price. Groupons did get me in the door to try you for dinner btw. Good luck!!!!

Unlike visiting a new neighbor’s house, visiting a steak house comes with a virtual guarantee that you’ll be welcomed, fed, and trusted with knives. Make a hunger-halting house call with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of steak, seafood, sushi, and more at Spamps in Conshohocken.

Spamps stamps out the possibility of hunger with an eclectic menu of entrees alongside a lengthy sushi list. Overthrow a dangerously ballooning appetite with a starter such as the spicy crab soup ($6+), or nosh on the raw bar's colossal shrimp cocktail ($14), named to entice diners and infuriate linguists. Afterward, dive into entrees such as the 8-ounce fillet served lounging amongst sautéed mushrooms beneath a creamy blanket of béarnaise sauce ($29), or the veal oscar, in which breaded veal medallions are accessorized with asparagus, jumbo lump crab, and hollandaise sauce ($29).The sushi menu loads up on crustacean combinations such as the signature Spamps roll, in which black-pepper seared tuna and asparagus are hugged by rightfully protective king crab ($17). Diners can bask in the eatery's elegant scenery seven nights a week and thoughtfully chew on ear candy from live DJs on Friday and Saturday nights.

About Spamps

Growing up, Marcie Spampinato watched her father, Mike, masterfully manage a local country club. By seventh grade, she was working alongside him, and today—with a restaurant management degree from Penn State under her belt—she joins with Mike to co-manage their steak-and-sushi joint, Spamps.

Chefs trained in Japan artfully stuff the eatery's sushi rolls with fresh ingredients such as black-pepper-crusted tuna and flying fish roe. Fusion flourishes such as kimchi tartar sauce, miso beurre blanc, and sake reductions give entrees such as rib-eye steak an Asian flair.

And much like a chocoholic's dream journal, the eatery's new cocktails revolve around sweet flavors, especially Marcie's favorite, the pumpkin-pie martini. Libations, which also include wine and beer, flow freely behind a copper bar with TVs or fill glasses in a dining room with exposed brick walls and private booths. At an outdoor patio dubbed The Grotto, lofted TVs illuminate trellises and tabletops as well as bar-goers shimmying to a live DJ's beats on Friday and Saturday nights.
