Brought my mother there as her first stop in CA after traveling from NY. Was pleasantly surprised to learn that the owner was also originally from NY! Such a small world. He gave us a wonderful, personalized wine tasting experience. 100% will be back!
Wine was very good. We did the chocolate pairing and food really makes a difference. We were educated on why. Overall a cute little spot right off highway 12. Would definitely recommend a stop. There are plenty of other nearby tasting as well as food in the area.
Great tasting. The wine does pair with the chocolate, thoroughly chosen. Michel who animated the tasting was fun and entertaining. We had a good time, discovering those wines from California. Good ratio quality//price

About Spann Vineyards Tasting Room
Betsy and Peter Spann have carved out a home for their vineyards among the coastal redwoods of the Mayacama Mountains. On their steeply terraced property, the Spanns spin richly flavored cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, and malbec grapes into limited-production wines.
But those wines don't stay up in the mountains: many of them travel down to the Spann Vineyards Tasting Room in the Kenwood Village Center. There, Betsy, Peter, and their team pour signature blends and unique varietals by the glass—while supplies last, of course. The tasting room also stocks products from Olive Press, and it boasts a picnic area so visitors can kick back outside.
