A picture is worth a thousand words, making photographs and stick-figure sketches the easiest solutions to looming dissertation deadlines. Take advantage of efficient visual-communication strategies with today’s Groupon: for $75, you get an on-location photo session with a proofing disk from Special Touch Photography (a $150 value).
Jennifer Hansen, owner and head shutterbug of Special Touch Photography, draws from her extensive background in portraiture and sports photojournalism to capture retina-regaling portraits of families and high-school seniors amid a stunning beachside landscape. During the one-hour photo session, Hansen poses subjects for roughly 40 percent of the shots, and then lets them loose to snap glimpses of candid beach play and wild glances in their natural habitat. She won’t limit the number of sandcastle sieges, nor the number of poses during the session. After the shoot, Hansen will corral all of the day's shots onto a proofing disk featuring watermarked digital copies that can be posted on social-media sites. Prints cannot be made from this disk. For fans of analog frame-fillers, Special Touch Photography sells 4”x6” ($10), 8”x10” ($25), 20”x24” ($195) and 30”x40” ($375) prints.
