What You'll Get
High speeds are more thrilling in smaller vehicles, as evidenced by go-karts, jet skis, and clown-car demolition derbies. Rev miniaturized motors with today's Groupon: for $44, you get four go-kart races (up to an $80 value) and a one-year membership (a $15 value) at Speed Street Indoor Racetrack in Glendale (up to a $95 total value).
Speed Street Indoor Racetrack's deft mechanics equip karts with environmentally friendly components before sending them ripping around a one-third-mile technical indoor road course. After racers complete a short training session, premiere Sodi karts reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour with nine-horsepower engines, harnessing the precise amount of energy generated by a typical equine baseball team. Racing slicks clinch around turns, allowing for thrilling hairpin maneuvers, and electronic trackers dispense your personal stats at the end of each lap. Annual memberships let members tap into a year of league racing and special offers and a lifetime of urges to joyride around the block in the neighbor kid's tonka truck.

About Speed Street Indoor Racetrack
Powered by 270cc Honda engines, the SODI go-karts at Speed Street Indoor Race Track generate 9 horsepower while rocketing around the 1/3-mile track at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. Fit for drivers of all skill levels, aged 7 and older, the karts and their pilots whiz through the track as tire walls, helmets, and the ghost of Henry Ford protect them at all times. Races mimic the action of big-league sprints, and onlookers can watch the action on the track or on TV screens around the complex. Speed Street Indoor Race Track welcomes birthday parties and corporate events, outfitting its media rooms with A/V equipment and full-service catering. It also organizes league racing, giving drivers the opportunity to compete for a spot in Speed Street's elite hall of fame.
