Q:

Will a Senior Stylist be performing the Keratin treatment, or can we choose to have a Master Stylist?

Shawna A.  asked on  Jan 6, 2013

A:

Our Senior Stylists are the highest level we have who perform Keratin Treatments, we don't have any title of Master Stylist. The Senior Stylists work with assistants who shampoo for them and assist the Senior Stylist with Blow Dry and Flat Iron. The Senior Stylist performs the hair cut if you purchase that option.

Q:

Does your salon have experience with all ethnicities as well as different types of hair? Is this keratin treatment for all types of hair?

Y J.  asked on  Jan 6, 2013

A:

Yes, about one third of our Keratin Treatments we do for ethnic hair. We have experience will all different types of hair and textures. Our Keratin Treatment is very beneficial for ethnic hair, helping cut blow dry and flat iron time by about 50%. It also helps improve the condition of the hair and some of our African American ladies who get Keratin Treatments on a regular basis no longer feel the need to get their hair relaxed.

Q:

Will this Keratin treatment leave my hair straight or will I still have the natural wave and curl? Thanks.

Sandra S.  asked on  Jan 6, 2013

A:

Your hair will be straighter, but not completely "bone" straight. Your hair will still have its natural wave and curl, but these will be relaxed slightly.

Q:

Can you get your hair colored before or after getting a Keratin treatment?

Jennie K.  asked on  Jan 6, 2013

A:

Yes, many of our clients get their hair colored or high lighted with us on the same day they get their Keratin Treatment. The Keratin actually helps the color last longer by sealing in the color molecules into the hair and helping to prevent water from washing the color out. If you can't do it on the same day we recommend waiting two weeks in between the color and Keratin. This allow the color time to bond to the hair.

Q:

Is this Coppola Keratin or what brand is it?

Laura A.  asked on  Jan 6, 2013

A:

We use the Keralyze brand, their website is www.keralyze.com. As important as the brand of Keratin is the experience of the person performing the service, all of our staff has worked on hundreds of Keratins and know how to maximize the benefits for all types of hair.
