With his Laugh Stories, San Diego playwright Michael Shames offers the promise of full-on merriment, with nary a mention of the words "Christmas," "holidays" or "shopping." For those of you who've already experienced seasonal fatigue long before November's even ended, this should come as a welcome relief. This 90-minute collection of hilarious one-act comedies is laced together with one common thread -- Glori, a girl making her way from her teens to adulthood. Follow along as she meets a variety of unusual and memorable characters along the way. John Tessmer directs these one-acts at Tenth Avenue Arts Center and you can stick around to chat with him and the Laugh Stories cast after the performance.
This production is recommended for audience members ages 16 and up.
