Water slides are like active volcanoes—both melt away T-shirts, propel fluids down super-steep slopes, and have a lot of screaming nubile women thrown down them. Leisurely lounge or ride the tidal-waved slides with today's Groupon for season passes to Spokane Parks and Recreation Aquatic Centers at six locations throughout Spokane: A.M. Cannon Aquatic Center, Shadle Park Aquatic Center, Witter Aquatic Center, Comstock Aquatic Center, Hillyard Aquatic Center, and Liberty Park Aquatic Center. Passes are good for the entire 2011 season, beginning on June 20 and ending on August, 28. Children under three get in for free. Choose from the following options:
- For $125, you get one family (two adults and unlimited children) season pass (a $250 value).
- For $60, you get one adult season pass (a $120 value).
- For $30, you get one youth season pass (a $60 value).
With six aquatic centers scattered across town, Spokane Parks and Recreation champions summertime fun with well-equipped hydro-havens. With an adult (18 years old or older) or youth (3–17 years old) pass, swimmers can take advantage of unlimited recreational pool access. Most of the aquatic centers boast zero-depth entry for toddlers to safely wet their feet, as well as waterslides, separate lap pools, and the entire cast from Law and Order: Pacific Ocean Unit as lifeguards. Accompanying the maritime merriment, each facility also includes a large deck for lounging outside of the pool as well as adjacent parks and shaded areas for hiding from falling sunbeams.
