What You'll Get
Though the bicycle endures as trusted means of transportation, exercise, and recreation, its popularity declined when advent of the assembly line made the mass production of horses possible. Keep your trusted pedal partner running like a stallion with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of cycling accessories and apparel at Spokesman Bicycles.
At Spokesman Bicycles, a dedicated staff of 13 helps shoppers mine an inventory of more than 10,000 accessories for mountain, road, and urban cyclists. Tubes ($6.50–$9.99) and tools ($4.99–$29.99) keep two-wheelers running in tiptop shape, while an array of sturdy locks keep bike bandits from running off with your ride ($11.99–$44.99). Saddle bags ($12.99) and lights ($8.99–$29.99) let commuters soup up rides, and riders confused as to why pedestrian passersby won't heed their catcalls can pick up a new hat or pair of riding socks ($8.99–$19.99).

About Spokesman Bicycles
Spokesman Bicycles' mechanics obviously ride their bikes to work, but that's not the only thing they do to reduce their impact on the environment. They also donate used tubes and tires to Totally Tubular Bags, use a biodegradable fluid in their parts cleaning machine, and ride whales to work only on special occasions.
But they didn't get into biking just to help the environment—they love everything about the sport, and many of them have been seriously cycling and fixing up bikes since the '70s. At their shop, the mechanics build road and mountain bikes, as well as work with fitters who adjust each bike to fit the needs of the rider. To keep clients safe and happy, they pass on their expertise to riders during free maintenance classes every month.
