Great tour with an authentic 18th century flavor. Very appropriate for the Colonial Williamsburg setting. It was really enjoyable such that we could not believe the hour+ event was over so quickly.

The tour was enjoyable, however two suggestions would be for the meeting place to be at the first story stop and to limit the number of participants. There were way too many people on this tour. Also, the leader did not have several people's reservation on her list. This could have contributed to the tour being overbooked.

Thank you for posting. We do not meet at the first stop for two reasons. The first most important one is that there is no way anyone would find it. There is no landmark and a GPS does not work in the historic area. People already get lost which you can see from reviews. The second reason we do not so that is because it would be very difficult and less realistic if we suddenly popped into being a character after just signing people in. The short walk transition works well. There is also nothing for people to do after they sign in early. Stores and benches to sit on, in our start location, are very much appreciated by guests who are waiting. I am the owner and often take reservation calls while going about the day. Sometimes, those slips of paper do get misplaced. But I will also say that often, people just show up and say they called ahead when they didnt. Either way, summers do get very busy, often at the last minute. We try to have another guide there when it's busy, but sometimes it's too late for one to get there. Thank you fir posting.

About Spooks & Legends Haunted Tours

A businesswoman by day, Bonnie Florek turns into a ghost by night. Donning 18th-century-period dress and assuming the identity of one Lucy Ludwell, Bonnie and other ghost guides regale tour groups with hair-raising tales of witches and ghosts that were once tried and hanged in Williamsburg. Bonnie founded Spooks and Legends Haunted Tours as a means of immersing tour groups in an interactive, goose bump–inducing jaunt through Williamsburg’s historic streets and into the past.

Spooks and Legends Haunted Tours’ guides lead tour-goers on family friendly excursions as they narrate true tales of cryptic happenings and how the town’s denizens met their mysterious ends. The nightly tours meander through the oldest lanes and thoroughfares of Williamsburg, stopping periodically to peer at local horror–hot spots such as the Peyton Randolph House, known to be one of the most haunted houses in America, and the Jones Family Cemetery, known to be full of spirits hovering over their graves. Tour-goers are encouraged to bring their cameras along to document any unnatural sightings of apparitions, orbs, or suspicious screams emanating from the stomachs of hungry black cats following the group.
