Q:

I'm a little nervous about this treatment, but it sounds wonderful after looking at your website! I have had consistent back pain for years now. I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have done everything-massage, chiropractic care, physical therapy, heat, ice, TENS, creams, shots, and lots of medications. Ideally, I want to stop carrying around a pharmacy in my purse. I have been searching for a magical cure for years. I also have herniated discs and degenerative discs in my back. I am currently unable to work and have to be very careful about what I do each day because if I do too much, I can be laid up in bed for the next several days. Do you think you could possibly be my magical cure? :) As for the groupon, I think I just want to try the massage with one decompression therapy just to see how my body handles it. I am definitely interested in buying the one with 3 decompression therapies if it works. Is there a way to buy the first one, but change it to more if my body reacts positively to the first treatment?

Q:

It states up to 3 decompression treatments. I take it that those are at different times than the deep-tissue massage? What exactly is a decompression treatment -- is that a chiropractic adjustment to make sure our spine is straight and aligned?

James P.  asked on  Oct 17, 2012

A:

Hi, James ~ we can treat you on one day for one decompression treatment and a one hour massage and schedule the other two decompressions at a time convenient for you, even the next day if you prefer. We look forward to serving you! Parris

Q:

If we choose one of the options that include decompression, will there be extra cost involved for chiropractic manipulation and / or x-rays and whatnot? I am considering the $49.00 deal. Will that be my actual cost? BTW, for myself, I have recent x-rays. Thank you.

Joyi S.  asked on  Oct 17, 2012

A:

Joy, this is Parris at Sports and Spine Chiropractic. The Groupon voucher is good only for a ten minute exam (to rule out any contraindications for the patient regarding the disc decompression treatment), the (3) 20 minute disc decompressions, and a one hour massage. We would appreciate it if you can bring your r-ray! 8-)

Q:

Will the massage be done by a Licensed Massage Therapist? I understand that the Chiropractors graduated in Texas colleges do not get training in massage therapy and different massage modalities but they may have taken a few hours course in massage.

Tak M.  asked on  Oct 17, 2012

A:

Hi Tak, Yes,our massage therapist is fully licensed. Please feel free to ask me anything else.;)
