What You'll Get
Horses and humans have worked together for centuries, transporting goods, fording rivers, and sharing the blame for the fall of Troy. Bond with the noblest of creatures with today’s Groupon to Spruce Meadow Farm in Clarence. Choose between the following options:
- For $30, you get a one-hour private horseback-riding-and-grooming lesson for one (a $70 value).
- For $40, you get a one-hour private horseback-riding-and-grooming lesson for two (a $140 value). <p>
Students lead horses in stately trots around Spruce Meadow Farms’ three riding rings, coaxing mild-tempered training horses to cover ground confidently under the tutelage of skilled instructors in private lessons that take place in an indoor or outdoor riding ring. Gift this Groupon over the holidays to an aspiring horse-tamer, granting them the knowledge needed to sit comfortably in the saddle and grasp reins with assurance, as well as safely groom, tack up, and fit platinum grills onto horses at Spruce Meadow’s sprawling stables. The farm’s stable of 20 horses and human-stable of instructors, each with competitive riding experience and a steady temperament, help aspiring stallion steerers cue their mounts to canter, gallop, and hover eerily outside friends’ windows.

About Spruce Meadow Farm
Spruce Meadow Farm is owned and operated by Al and Karla Deacon, who lovingly tend to the 40 horses that reside inside a complex of three riding rings—including an indoor ring—and two barns. For the past 20 years, the couple has been assisting and administering year-round lessons for riders of all ages, guiding trainees toward stronger bonds with their equine counterparts. Their lessons detail proper mounting, grooming, and tacking techniques, and culminate with safe cool-down exercises rather than unsafe attempts at horseback surfing. Al and Karla also assist equine enthusiasts through walker-led pony rides and ferry services geared toward off-site rides. Gift certificates are also available, to give the gift of riding to friends and loved ones.
