Without food, tongues would get lazy and forget how to move, making it hard to eat, talk, or yodel. Keep your tongue fit with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of creative American fare and drinks at Square Bar & Grill.
Square’s grillers create a menu of eccentric burgers, sandwiches, and fried desserts. Just like Romeo and Juliet were made for each other, pretzel buns were made for Square’s sandwiches, such as the pulled-pork paradise, with barbecue sauce and grilled pineapple ($11) hanging out of the bun because it doesn’t have air conditioning. The Volcano burger's pretzel bun explodes with orange lava, otherwise known as gooey cheese ($12). More gooey cheese can be found in the American Dream, a 10-ounce char-grilled burger squished between two grilled-cheese sandwiches ($12). Cool off a tongue too warm from eating volcanoes and jalapeños with deep-fried chocolate bars, such as Snickers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, served with vanilla ice cream ($5 each).
Square also serves beer ($5–$12) in bottles, glasses, and gigantic spray bottles. People can enjoy their drinks at Square’s bar, which is made from wood from old bowling alley lanes.
