What You'll Get
A talented trio of violinists takes the stage at Bryn Mawr's Agnes Irwin School for a concert featuring the South Indian style of music known as Carnatic -- and they all happen to be related. This musical family affair features acclaimed traditional musician T.N. Krishnan, along with his daughter Viji and his son Sriram, in an event sponsored by Sruti Indian Music and Dance Society. This centuries-old musical form evolved from ancient Hindu tradition, and is said to date back to the works of Purandara Dasa (1480-1564).
