People often do things in hotels that they would never do in their own homes, such as sleep soundly, watch Marley & Me, or let the kids drink as much shampoo as they want. Let loose with today's Groupon: for $99, you get a one-night stay in a standard room (a $197.30 average value) at The St. Anthony Riverwalk Wyndham Hotel.

Designated as one of the Top 10 San Antonio Hotels by Gayot, the National Historic Landmark–listed St. Anthony Riverwalk Wyndham Hotel has greeted visitors for more than a century, hosting such esteemed visitors as President Eisenhower and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. An $8 million restoration project allows visitors to feast eyes on décor and tile work present since opening day in 1909. Unwind on an elegant four-poster bed, or test forearm fortitude on the hotel's racquetball court. An on-site 24-hour business center allows workaholics to get a taste of their favorite nine-to-five tasks, such as emailing, printing, and reading sports scores for eight straight hours.

An outdoor pool, a spa, and a fitness room beckon overnighters out of their rooms. Bellies can refuel with a host of dining options in and around the hotel, including the Madrid Room, serving a bevy of meticulously crafted Texas staples. Visitors are also only a few minutes from San Antonio's bustling River Walk, rife with museums, restaurants, shopping, multimillion-dollar arenas dedicated to hosting monkeys-playing-checkers tournaments, and special events.

Customer Reviews

We went earlier in the year for our anniversary and greatly enjoyed the stay we had at that time. This next visit was fory wifes birthday and we had a wonderful stay again this time as well. We highly recommend this hotel for a step back into San Antonio history as well as a place to stay.

Parking is ridiculous w/ 25$ a night valet. But the hotel is beautiful. Full of history and well kept. The staff was friendly the breakfast was priced decently and tasted good. Rooms were cozy. Loved my experience.
