With dozens of lanes that boast auto-scoring capabilities and plenty of on-site amenities, the St. Clair and Bel-Air bowling centers set the standard for hi-tech bowling. With feet comfortably ensnared inside a pair of bowling shoes, bowlers will be able to topple phalanxes of uppity pins with the perfect fusion of style, power, and grace—dazzling onlookers with the flashy footwork and skillful tosses of ice-skating pizza-makers. To prevent premature conclusions to a night of merrymaking, 10 arcade tokens will extend the entertainment past your double bout of ball-hurling. At St. Clair, bowlers can select from 50 different lanes, and the Bel-Air facility is permeated with free Internet beams that can only be perceived by WiFi-enabled computers and tinfoil-hat-enabled heads. Food and beverages are available at both locations.
Although there are few reviews for St. Clair and Bel-Air bowling centers, both were mentioned by the Belleville News-Democrat as hosts of the United States Bowling Congress/Women's Bowling Association Illinois State Women's Bowling Tournament. St. Clair Bowl has a four-star average from six Yahoo! Local users, and Bel-Air Bowl has a four-star average from three Insider Pagers:
- The annual women's state tournament is divided into singles and doubles competition, which will be held at St. Clair Bowl, and a team event, which will take place at Bel-Air. – Dean Criddle, Belleville News-Democrat
- I just love going here and having fun! They have so much to do. – Melanie F., Insider Pages
St. Clair and Bel-Air Bowling Centers
With a combined 82 lanes, the St. Clair and Bel-Air Bowling Centers send pins toppling through open bowling, leagues, and other events. St. Clair's pro shop, first opened in 1977, doles out high-quality equipment, service, and enforced timeouts for rebellious pins, and the Beer Frame Lounge allows bowlers to stop for a pint while gazing down at the lanes. Pizzas, adorned with unlimited toppings, sail from the oven onto the plates of waiting guests of St. Clair Bowl, and a homestyle soup bar fills bowls and bellies in Bel Air Bowl's restaurant.
