St. Patrick's Cathedral is undoubtedly one of the most iconic old buildings in New York. This holy site, which occupies an entire Manhattan city block, is also the largest Gothic Catholic cathedral in the United States.
*On our Official Tour, narrated by Cardinal Dolan, you'll learn about the history of one of New York's most iconic religious buildings. This late 19th-century neo-Gothic building is a must-see if you're visiting New York. *
*Although you'll have as much time as you like inside the cathedral, we recommend allowing between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes to explore all its nooks and crannies. These are numerous, as St. Patrick's Cathedral has 21 altars and 19 bells. Make sure to look at the main altar, the beautiful stained glass windows and the famous Pietà sculpture. This impressive and moving sculpture is 3 times the size of Michaelangelo's sculpture in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. *
