This is a great little museum that often goes overlooked because of all of the wonderful museums in St. Petersburg. I recommend it to visitors who want to know more about the area, new residents who can learn so much about their new home and long time St Petersburgers. My only issue is there needs to be more opportunities to sit down as you journey thoughout the museum. This may be remedied when the museum has its renovation for the 100th anniversary!!!

Small but cute. Lived in Tampa for 6 years, still learned something new. Given the small ticket price, it’s worth the experience!

Some interesting things to view and read about. It’s a 1-2 hour escape from the heat and if you plan in a trip to the Pier you have a nice 2-3 hours. A little small but interesting. The autographed Baseball section pretty unique.

I'm glad we got this Groupon because it was not worth the $15 entry fee. There is only an exhibit about the development/planning of the city, and not much information about the timeline or history of the city. There is also a baseball exhibit with a huge collection of signed balls.

About St. Petersburg Museum of History

Since 1922, the St. Petersburg Museum of History has shared the Sunshine City's unique stories and Florida's rich heritage. Visitors will experience local history from the early pioneers to present day — exploring how a sleepy little fishing village turned into a booming metropolis, alive with arts and culture at every corner. Our Flight One Gallery charts commercial aviation history through the birth of the world's first commercial airline, complete with a full-size working replica of the Benoist XIV airboat. Schrader's Little Cooperstown features the world's largest collection of autographed baseballs, as guests discover the birth of spring training right here in St. Pete. The Odditorium offers a peek at the city's stranger past - including a two-headed calf and an authentic 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy. Those looking to delve deeper into St. Pete and Florida's rich history are welcome to explore the Museum's archival library, or partake in one of our various educational programs, including group tours, community events, and summer camps.
