What You'll Get
In 1993, Canadian photojournalist Paul Watson took a Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph of a dead American soldier being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. In 2007, a struggling playwright befriended the photojournalist, and the two journeyed through some of the most dangerous places on earth, piercing into the depths of the human soul. The lead actors embody more than 30 roles in this story based on real events. Called "a theatrical jewel" by The New York Times and winner of numerous awards including the 2014 Horton Foote Prize for outstanding new American play, The Body of an American receives its Midwest premiere from Stage Left Theatre at Chicago's Theater Wit.
