What You'll Get
STAGEright Theater's off-beat musical Weird Romance brings two one-act tales of speculative fiction to Seattle's Hugo House. Just how "weird" do things actually get? In the first act, "The Girl Who Was Plugged In," you'll meet a homeless woman whose soul is transplanted into the body of a gorgeous female android by a company that manufactures celebrities. (By the way, you'll be standing through that act.) The second story, "Her Pilgrim Soul," introduces you to a scientist who researches holographic imaging. His life is turned upside down by the appearance of a mysterious "living" holograph -- apparently, a woman long dead. This production is based on episodes of The Twilight Zone and features music by Oscar- and Tony-winning composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Newsies).
This production contains adult language and is recommended for audience members ages 13 and older.
