Q:

Hi, I am interested in getting this for my 2010 Toyota prius which has a push button starter. I also want to get it for my 2008 Nissan Titan with key start. Would these vehicles be compatible?

Samantha  asked on  Oct 6, 2012

A:

Hi Samantha, Thanks for contacting us. 1. Toyota Prius - will need the advanced integration module for $75 2. Nissan Titan - this should work with the remote start we are offering as long as you have two keys - one of the keys would be used as a chip in the remote start. If you don't want to lose a key you have to go the advanced integration route

Q:

I did not see Kia on the list of cars...might it fall under another name?

Jean F.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hi Jean, Thanks for considering this awesome remote start deal from Stereo West Auto Toys. We are swamped and so it took us a little while to get back to you. Regret the inconvenience.Yes KIAs are included. What's the Year make and model of your car? Is it a push button? Your car will need advanced integration if its push button. Thanks Stereo west auto toys ownership

Q:

I have a 2009 Honda civic with door lock/unlock on the key, will I still be able to use that? I also have a 2008 GMC Envoy with door lock/unlock NOT on the key, will I still be able to use that?

Staci H.  asked on  Oct 5, 2012

A:

Hi Staci, Thanks for reaching out to us. The door lock/unlock key would work as long as your car is not running. You can alternatively go the upgrade route for $164 more - http://stereowestautotoys.com/groupon-october-2012 - where you get two four button keys, remote start and door lock/unlock, lifetime warranty and trunk pop. You will also be able to keep all your keys

Q:

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 and wanted to know what would be required for this to be installed? I also wanted to know the range of the remote start. Thanks,

Danielle P.  asked on  Oct 5, 2012

A:

Hi Danielle, Thanks for reaching out to us. If you have two keys one of your keys would be used as a chip for your remote start and you will lose one of the keys. If you want to keep both the keys you have to go the advanced bypass route - which is $75 for your kind of car

Q:

I have a 1979 Ford F150 that I restored and would like to get a remote for. It doesn't have power locks, doors, etc... Will this work on a more vintage truck?

David A.  asked on  Oct 5, 2012

A:

Hi David, Thanks for contacting us. As long as your F-150 is fuel injected we can take care of you. Thanks

Q:

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My handheld remote unlock, that goes on the keychain has been misplaced. Will I receive a new remote with this autostart system?

Michael D.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Yes, it is a one button remote start. The jeep Grand Cherokee has a chip key and is tried into the vehicle's factory security so it will require the advanced bypass option for $75 additional. What I would suggest doing is visit our website www.stereowestautotoys.com and select the groupon option. it will show you a couple packages you can upgrade to. The 4103v package for $164 includes keyless entry, lifetime warranty, longer range and the advanced bypass.

Q:

have a nissan exterra 2004 is this covered under this promotion maggie

maggie p.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

On the exterra the keys are a chipped, the basic bypass included in the $150 deal will work, but it requires a key to go into the remote start. If you do the advanced bypass for $75 more you don't have to put a key in the remote start. If you don't have a second key you would have to go to the dealer to have a key made which could cost $100-$150. The advanced bypass is a better solution in that case.

Debashish G.  from  Merchant  replied on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

So to reiterate - if you have two keys and willing to use one of the keys in the remote start you are good to go and this deal would work for you. If you donot want to give up a key or have only one key - you have to go the advanced bypass route.

Q:

I have a ford F-250 with a fob that unlocks the car. The fob is NOT in the key itself. Would I need the Advanced bypass to be able to utilize my fob to unlock / lock the car?

Michelle J.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

On the F-250 depending on the year and whether it is gas or diesel it may require the advanced bypass. for the unit to lock and unlock on one remote you would do the $45 keyless entry upgrade so that one remote would lock and unlock, and do remote start.

Debashish G.  from  Merchant  replied on  Oct 4, 2012

Q:

I have a 2005 Honda Pilot. It is a key start with the door lock/unlock on the actual key. With the $150 groupon deal will i still be able to use my key to lock and unlock my doors? Will I need anything other than the basic integration kit?

Pamela V.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

We can use the Basic bypass, but it will require a key to go into the remote start. If you have only one key or don't wish to put a key in the remote start I would do the advanced bypass, $75 additional would be needed. The lock and unlock would function normally when not remote started, but Honda's when the motor is running the factory keyless is inactive. I would suggest the keyless entry upgrade for $45 or the $164 upgrade which includes the advanced bypass, keyless entry, lifetime warranty and longer range.

Debashish G.  from  Merchant  replied on  Oct 4, 2012

Q:

does this system give you confirmation the vehicle was started? I have an 08 Nissan Titan, i have a second key, is this one that has a bypass?

Bradley B.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

No, this unit is a line of site unit, the vehicle will confirm start by flashing the parking lights letting you know it is started. If you can't see the vehicle, I would get on our website to see the upgrade packages that have the 2-way feature. The Titan does require an advanced bypass only if you want to keep both keys. The basic bypass would require a key to go into the remote start to work.
