A love of drumming often appears in childhood as banging on pots and pans and develops through adulthood, when the cookware is swapped for office pens and bulbous coworker heads. Witness professional percussion with today's Groupon: for $36, you get one ticket to Stomp at the Orpheum Theatre, as well as a $10 gift card to Dave and Buster's (up to an $82.50 value). Buying today's deal will redirect you to Ticketmaster; please enter the code "GROUPON" in the "Promotions and Special Offers" box at checkout. Get your Dave and Buster's gift card when you pick up your Stomp ticket at Will Call.

Nominated for numerous awards and ranked as one of Entertainment Weekly's 50 Best Plays and Musicals from 1983–2008, Stomp has been noisily winning audiences over at the Orpheum Theatre since 1994. Using a hodgepodge of inventive instruments—such as garbage cans, brooms, and matchbooks—performers create a dialogue-free, 90-minute symphony of percussion and dance that will make cochleae crave more. The deal is good for multiple seating areas in the orchestra, but Ticketmaster fees are not included.

After the show, burn off your pent-up energy at Dave and Buster's, an adult-oriented arcade and video game wonderland, where the skee balls flow like wine and the air hockey pucks flow like plastic discs on an aerated table. The Stomp cast's precise choreography and athleticism might even spur you to achieve the high score on the popular office-themed rhythm game, Collate Collate Revolution.

Reviews

Entertainment Weekly named Stomp one of its 50 New Stage Classics. Yelpers give the show a 4.5-star average and Trip Advisors give it an average of 4.5 owl eyes:

  • No dialogues, no plot, this is a show where performers create noise from common, ordinary objects and thread them into wonderful percussive pieces. – Isabella W., Yelp
  • The timing of course is pretty impeccable which makes the sounds fairly amazing. I went with a friend but saw people of all age ranges there enjoying the show. – oldstarwarsrules, TripAdvisor

This is an action packed show. The show is non stop for almost 2 hours, and is exciting all the way through. I highly reccommend this show.

This has to be one of the best and most underrated shows playing in New York right now. was extremely creative and fun. The performers interacted with the crowd perfectly and kept my attention the ENTIRE time. this will be the show I recommend any relatives visiting to see. Also helps that it is right in the heart of East Village so after show food choices are everywhere.
