Kids pal around with their equine friends during camp, where they ride and play games, learn about horse safety and care, and paint and bead the horses’ hair. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 17, July 1, July 5, July 12, and July 29, as well as days marked “Fun Day Fridays” on the calendar.
During each horseback-riding lesson, about 30 minutes is dedicated to caring for the horse and the other 60 minutes is for riding. Students should dress in jeans and wear heeled shoes or boots, but all other equipment, including riding helmets, is included. At the conclusion of the lessons, pupils can show off their newfound horsemanship by going on a trail ride.
