What You'll Get
Massage is a safer way to work out knots than lying on the floor of your car and working the pedals with your hands to drive over speed bumps. Slow down stress with this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $25 for a Shirodhara treatment and a bottle of oil to take home (a $50 value)
- $39 for a 60-minute Ayurvedic massage (an $80 value)
- $49 for a 90-minute master-level custom massage (a $115 value)
During the Shirodhara treatment, a therapist slowly pours oil from a copper pot onto the client’s “third eye”–the center of the forehead–in an effort to quiet the mind, relax the nervous system, and enhance brain function. Alternatively, the Ayurvedic massage combines native Indian Buddhist and Hindu traditions into one 60-minute healing session focused on pressure point stimulation. During the master-level massage, a therapist with a minimum of five years of experience combines Swedish, deep-tissue, and neuromuscular modalities in a customized treatment that can relieve pain or increase range of motion.

About StoneWater Institute and Spa
As an accredited massage school, StoneWater Institute and Spa educates classes of aspiring massage therapists until they attain an associate's degree or diploma in massage therapy. The center teaches students how to perform popular modalities—including Swedish and deep tissue—and trains them for the tug-of-war section of every state's certification process. Training sessions for couples provide a less intense alternative for individuals seeking to give better massages.
The center also includes four private treatment rooms where trained therapists demonstrate their skill by deftly unknotting muscles. These massages can incorporate neuromuscular techniques, reflexology, or hot stones.
