Very nice site, some of the people there are racist bit the kids still enjoyed themselves. It's unfortunate that some people can be so openly rude. The meshed area with the butterflies and their cocoons were beautiful

The festival was full of fun learning activities for the kids! My two little girls also loved being able to dress up as a butterfly and wear their wings! Great time!

About Watershed Butterfly Festival

The Watershed Butterfly Festival, presented by the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, will teach families about their local environment. Kids can get face to antennae with butterflies and other insects at the butterfly house, and families can explore nature on hayrides, walks, and do some hands-on learning at the festival's interactive enviro-zones. After learning all about a butterfly's life-cycle and rambling along on a trail, guests can take in the festival's much anticipated butterfly and bug parade where costumes are encouraged. Other entertainment will include live music, aerial acrobatics, yoga, hula hoop and a dog agility demonstration. Food and arts & crafts will be available from local vendors. On top of all that, guests can help set a Guinness Book of World Records record for the most people dressed as butterflies, by wearing your wings.
