The monopoly tycoons of the 19th century traditionally did their wheeling and dealing at fine-dining establishments, cleverly concealing the fact that they still lived with their parents. Enjoy a unique twist on fine cuisine with today's Groupon: for $30, you get $60 worth of Neo-Southern fare and wine at Stove in Portsmouth. Parties are limited to six or fewer and guests must call ahead to make a reservation, as the dining room has only nine tables.

Chef Sydney Meers uses fresh and local meats, seafood, and produce to craft his eclectic Southern menu—down-home Mississippi cookin' with international flair. Experience Stove's signature blend of classic and innovative elements with a large-course jumbo flounder ($25), served with crisp pork belly on a bed of local root vegetables and red onions in a tomato, shallot, and herb shrimp reduction thickened with heat and positive verbal reinforcement. The pork-o-rama barbecue ($12, $23) features a porky foursome of Darden Farm's country ham, sausage, house-made "smoochie bear ham," and slow-roasted pork belly enthroned atop purple potatoes and hubbard squash with 42-ingredient house barbecue sauce. Vegetarians can feast upon the seasonally-influenced Stove-o-tarian, an ever-changing dish overflowing with seasonal plant flesh (price is based on market values). Diners can wash down fare with a bevy of wines by the bottle and red and whites by the glass ($7.50–$9).

The white-clothed tables of the dining room nestle intimately inside cool seafoam-green walls, which sport galleries of the owner's outsider art.

Awesome food and people. Now I know why everyone loves it so much. The amazing sauce and the ingredients paired are masterful. It was a privilege to be served so well. The chef asked us questions about what we liked to help us make choices and then prepared some of the best cuisine that we have ever enjoyed. Unlike the larger restaurants out there you don't feel like a number you feel like a rockstar because the owner is so cool and hunble which must be a tough task for somebody so talented. And, the fact that the place is so small makes you feel so big. You feel like you are the few people in town that are privilege to get to be there. Really reminds me of an exclusive place that we been on the top of Mount Blonc with small tables on the peak of the highest mountain in Europe except the food is better and the service lol!

Service and atmosphere were wonderful. Friendly patrons with conversation among tables. Shrimp Ettofey brought tears to my eyes, almost too hot.
