Strange True Tours - French Quarter: $20 for Two Adult Tickets to Strange True Tours (Up to $40 Value)

Though their years of immortality-fueled experience make ghosts seem like the perfect employees, these benefits are offset by their tendency to wear bedsheets to business meetings or call in dead to work. Run an otherworldly background check with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get two adult tickets to the City of the Dead Tour or the Strange True Tour (up to a $40 value) from Strange True Tours.

Owner Jeffrey Holmes and his staff of brainy guides pride themselves on the historical accuracy of Strange True Tours, leading inquisitive sightseers and lore-hungry locals on adult-oriented educational promenades throughout the Big Easy. Shuffling off this mortal coil Monday through Saturday at 11:30 a.m., the City of the Dead Tour winds around the labyrinthine above-ground crypts and zombie jazz bands of the oldest continuously running graveyard in New Orleans. Tour takers comb through the age-old Saint Louis No. 1 Cemetery, strolling past the tomb of voodoo queen Marie Laveau and the future final resting place of aspiring pharaoh Nicolas Cage.

Offset memento moris with a less ghoulish meander around New Orleans on the Strange True Tour, departing daily at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Strange True Tour details the documented Louisiana exploits of pirates, prostitutes, and presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, along with a score of other fully sourced New Orleans history nuggets brought to life by the city's fleet of animatronic robot reenactors.

History of buildings and people were very interesting. Would have been more fun if we had been able to go into the buildings and maybe would have experienced something. All in all, it was a great tour, very enjoyable.
