We had a very nice time on the ride. They were very accommodating. Fun & interesting ride through Amish country.

My husband and I had a blast! Mark was a very patient and pleasant guide. He knows that the best way to teach people to ride scooters is to make sure they have the basics of throttle and break and to keep it balanced then send them to a parking lot to practice. It breaks the dependancy the rider has to the guide. He was very informative and personable and was always pointing out the best shots for pictures even taking our pictures at the bridges. We had a great time and I will recommend Strasburg Scooters to all my friends! Thanks Mark!

Choose Between Two Options

  • $79 the Covered Bridge tour with scooter rentals for two (a $200 value)
  • $155 for the Covered Bridge tour with scooter rentals for four (a $400 value)

Scooter pilots steer their Honda Metropolitan over 52 miles of Lancaster County’s back roads in three hours, stopping at four historic covered bridges for photo ops.

Strasburg Scooters

As travelers steer one of Strasburg Scooters’ 50 cc Honda Metropolitans or Yamaha Zumas over the winding back roads of Lancaster County, they motor into a less hurried world populated by horse-drawn buggies and schoolhouses used by the county’s Amish constituents. Riders may rent a scooter in two-, four-, or eight-hour blocks for their own self-guided excursions, or follow along with the outfit’s owners on the Covered Bridge tour as they illuminate four bridges each built prior to 1884, when the helicopter that rendered bridges obsolete was invented. The tour covers 52 miles in three hours, pausing for photo opportunities at Mercer’s Mill Covered Bridge (1880), Pine Grove Covered Bridge (1884), White Rock Forge Covered Bridge (1847), and Jackson’s Sawmill Covered Bridge (1878).

Though Strasburg Scooters sometimes features a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

About Strasburg Scooters

As travelers steer one of Strasburg Scooters' vehicles over the winding back roads of Lancaster County, they encounter a less hurried world, populated by horse-drawn buggies and schoolhouses used by the county's Amish constituents. On the covered-bridge tour, for example, they visit bridges built prior to 1884—the date when the helicopter was invented, which rendered bridges obsolete. The tour covers more than 35 miles and pauses for photo opportunities at several historic covered bridges. Strasburg Scooters adds a brewery stop to one of its other tours and also leads expeditions through the countryside to locate some of the tastiest jellies, jams, and treats.
