At Straw, even the most solemn of adults can't help but crack a smile and feel as though they're a wide-eyed kid strolling through a carnival's midway. Named by Business Insider as one of the "25 Coolest New Businesses in San Francisco" in 2012, this colorful restaurant awakens each visitor's inner child with carnival-inspired comfort food, carnival-themed decor, and even it's own Tilt-o-Whirl booth for good measure.
On the menu, guests find burgers between glazed donuts, hand-spun cotton candy, and award-winning peanut butter pie topped with candied bacon. Groups can share sweet potato tater tots served with blackberry barbecue sauce, or they can pass around skewers lined with succulent meats and veggies. Soups, sandwiches, and salads round out Straw's menu, and cocktails invite of-age visitors to go for a spin without ever having to step foot on a ferris wheel.
