What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We believe each student is unique and deserves a learning program that's tailored to their specific learning style. Because of that, we approach working with each child differently. Our tutors access the needs of students individually and create a plan to achieve that student's goals.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
We do not provide course materials because our students come to us for a variety of subjects and need help with a wide variety of study programs. We work with the materials a student is already using, suggest new material, and/or come up with material to suit each student individually.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Strive Academics began as a way to provide students with tutoring that caters to their unique strengths and challenges. While learning programs have their own merit, we believe that tutors should adjust to meet the students’ needs and tailor lessons based on student and parent feedback.
What do you love most about your job?
One thing we love about learning is seeing how subjects connect to the real world. We look for ways to tie students' interests into lessons. Students find learning much more interesting when they see the links between what they're learning and their passions/the real world.
