A Chat with Strongwater Swim, Inc
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Strongwater Swim Academy’s mission is to provide a safe and positive atmosphere for swimmers of all ages and for children with special needs. We are a low [student-to-teacher] ratio (3:1) for group swim lessons because we believe each child needs as much individual attention as possible, and we teach with no flotation devices.
What’s one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Try avoid eating heavy food before your swim lesson. Swim cap and goggles are required. Before purchasing goggles, ask us for tips on goggles to avoid purchasing. Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit, towel, flip flops, soap, and a zip lock bag to put wet clothing in.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Samantha and Natalia are both the co-founders of Strongwater Swim INC. With a decade of experience as swimming instructors and coaches, they felt not enough small-ratio swimming programs and special needs swim classes are offered in Queens and Brooklyn. They are committed to helping all students.
What do you love most about your job?
What all our instructors have in common is love and passion for the sport of swimming and the water. Our instructors are genuine, encouraging, and enthusiastic about teaching all age groups and levels.
