Q&A with Todd Miller, Director/Owner
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Studio 26 has a variety of programs suitable for all fitness levels, from beginner to experienced. Our teachers are certified and experienced and provide our students with the tools they need to stay motivated and reach their goals. One of the major reasons clients give up is the lack of results, but at Studio 26 we monitor our students' goals so we can address their progress and make any necessary changes to their program. Our studio is warm and welcoming with pleasant and understanding teachers who make our clients look forward to their next class. We encourage socializing in the lobby and introduce students to each other so everyone feels a sense of belonging.
What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student?
Our students tend to arrive a little early so they can put their mats in the studio and enjoy some quiet time in Savasana. Prior to class the teacher will give a 5- to 10-minute orientation to new students in the lobby to ensure that they are comfortable and prepared for the upcoming class. We encourage students to take a break at any time and as often as suits them so they are working within their own limits. ... Beginners tend to set up in the back row and watch the students in the front and middle rows for examples and visual cues. The teacher either stands on the podium or moves through the class using clear dialogue, providing corrections and encouraging the students. ... The teacher stays in the lobby after class to be available to the students and answer any questions.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
