What You'll Get
If the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, then disheveled hair provides the least efficient route for climbing monkeys to reach the bananas in your fruit hat. Today's Groupon tames tresses for easy scaling: for $150, you get a KeraGreen organic keratin and protein hair treatment at Studio Green (a $300 value for approximately shoulder-length, medium-texture hair). For longer or thicker hair, each additional ounce of the product costs an added $50. The studio recommends a preliminary consultation to determine how much your hair requires.
This sleek, 2,000-square-foot salon employs environmentally friendly, certified-organic products to help to strengthen and smooth sapped strands. The formaldehyde-free, KeraGreen organic keratin and protein treatment is said to smooth up to 80% of curls, seal in color, allay breakage and loss, and achieve an array of other tress benefits for an average of three–five months, depending on hair type and condition. Stylists begin the approximately three-hour treatment by cleansing coifs in hot water with a specialized shampoo, helping the hair cuticle to open up in order to more effectively absorb the treatment and unburden itself of embarrassing childhood memories of self-cut bangs. Next, the soothing serum swathes strands in amino acids to boost shine and elasticity as locks lounge below a dryer for 25 minutes. Finally, a 450-degree flat iron seals in the strengthening solution. Three–four days after the treatment, once strands become washable, stylists recommend using KeraGreen shampoo and conditioner (not included in today's Groupon) to extend strength, shine, and bench-pressing records of newly stalwart strands.

About Studio Green
Though the experts at Studio Green are duly concerned with the appearance of split ends, aging skin, and unwanted hair, an even greater concern is with the effects of harsh chemicals on clients' skin, hair, and environment. That's why their 2,000-square-foot salon is solely stocked with vegan and organic hair products, including hair color that's been certified cruelty-free by PETA. The team of stylists tends to tresses more gently and ethically with formaldehyde-free serums, sugar scrubs, and gentle dyes. The aestheticians, for their part, can help clients to curate at-home beauty routines with a collection of organic serums by Éminence and Surface.
