Q:

How does a person reserve seats for a Studio Movie Grill movie online using Groupon tickets they have purchased in advance? I have selected my movie, showtime and seats. Next is the payment screen which requires I insert my credit card information or a code from a gift ticket, no explanation or box to indicate I am paying with Groupon. Want to reserve seats online early today so that I can get good seats tonight. If I wait and take my Groupon on my android to the theater then seats may be sold out. No one answers the phone at SMG, I've left voicemail messages but no one has called me back. This is something I think Groupon should explain to those who purchase tickets on the Groupon website. Thanks.

Sheila M. P.  asked on  Apr 6, 2013

A:

3 easy steps... 1. Enter # under barcode in center of Groupon in promo code field. Click submit & promo ticket will appear 2.For multiple tickets, enter #s separately & click 'submit' after each entry 3.Select seat(s), enter billing & payment info for $1.50/seat service fee. Present email confirmation upon arrival in exchange for tickets

Q:

So my choices are buying a $6.5 ticket and getting a drink but having to buy online and buying a $5 ticket and just getting a movie? Just wondering, I accidentally bought two of the $6.50 tickets last time and didn't realize I had to buy it online and that I was being charged an extra $1.5 to do so. So confusing... Thought it was a movie and a drink for $6. Anyways it's still a great deal, but it is very confusing when the deal used to be $6 for movie and drink that can be redeemed online or at the box office all the time. Now I don't know what I'm purchasing, how I need to purchase it, and if I am going to be hit by hidden fees or rules later on when I try to redeem them.

Shea  asked on  Apr 3, 2013

A:

This deal is only valid for a $5 movie ticket. If you reserve your seats online, there will be a $1.50 surcharge that gets applied. However, you can simply bring your Groupon in person to avoid to surcharge.
