Q:

do you bill insurance

paulette s.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

We can bill insurance for glasses. We are not preferred providers for any insurance company however, we provide out of network benefits for Regence Blue Shield, Premera Blue Cross, Lifewise, Vision Service Plan (VSP) and many more. We always recommend you check with your insurance carrier to determine if your vision carrier is the same as your medical insurance; often times, they are not. If you are using your Groupon for the eye exam discount; we can not bill your insurance. This discount is being offered to help offset the cost of a comprehensive eye exam for people who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not provide for vision.

Q:

If I have no prescription yet and need the eye exam as I would be a new patient, how much would the eye exam cost? I saw its $110 TOWARD the exam. So whats the actual total of the exam? Basically, until I have an eye exam, I'm not sure that I need glasses. However, if I did turn out to need lenses I'd like to be able to take advantage of the Groupon. Does this groupon apply to my situation?

Khalia B.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

Thank you for your inquiry. The exam would be $140.00. I understand you need an exam to determine if you infact need glasses. Either way, the groupon will save you money on the exam.
