From 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, crowds will descend on the Metropolitan Pavilion to show their support for City Harvest—an organization committed to feeding hungry New Yorkers throughout the city's five boroughs. This Summer in the City event will feature live musical performances by Rakiem Walker Project and Howie Day as well as culinary, travel, and entertainment prizes from the raffle and the silent auction. The proceeds from general admission (a $150 value) and the evening's other fundraising efforts will help City Harvest collect 42 million pounds of food this year and deliver it to a network of nearly 600 community programs, helping to feed the city's hungry men, women, and children.
The team from Yerba Buena is proud to volunteer alongside more than 30 other community-minded New York chefs and restaurants who will serve some of their tastiest dishes and drinks to those in attendance. The menu includes tuna ceviche with sweet onion, pickled watermelon, and jalapeño-soy ($14); suckling pig with a sunchoke and black truffle puree, kale, and red chilies ($25); and blue cornmeal-crusted calamari with sweet plantains and a tamarind vinaigrette ($13).

About Yerba Buena
Executive Chef Julian Medina draws inspiration from across Latin America when creating his modern, oft-praised dishes. His saffron-tinged paella del mar evokes memories of Spain with its collection of clams, mussels, and calamari, while the dry-aged rib eye arrives with a distinctly Argentinean chimichurri sauce. Flavors from Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Mexico also appear throughout the menu, occasionally intermingled with Asian ingredients—such as miso and crispy won tons—for added complexity and surprise.
Manhattan hosts two Yerba Buena locations, both demonstrating a commitment to bold flavor combinations.
