Giuseppina, Biagio and their children were happily settled in Altavilla Milicia, Italy in the late 1940s. But one thing was missing—their family, most of whom had left the town for new lives in America. Eager to reunite with their large Italian family, the couple settled in Chicago. Not long after arriving, yearning for the food and traditions of their native land, they opened an authentic Italian restaurant, where families of all sizes and stripes could gather to enjoy one another's company over a home-cooked meal.
Today, Suparossa has grown to encompass several locations, each beloved for its warm atmosphere and hearty Italian cuisine. House specialties include wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas topped with premium ingredients such as prosciutto di parma and san marzano tomato sauce, plus housemade pastas, Prime steaks, and classic Italian desserts including cannoli and tiramisu. In keeping with its family-focused mission, the restaurant offers catering services for those who prefer to eat and make merry in the comfort of their own homes.
