Just inside of Surfside Smokehouse, one sign sums up almost everything that's great about the eatery: "Get sauced, get smoked, get shucked." But the list of what Surfside's owners, Fred Bisaillon and Denise Corson, do right is much longer than that. Old bourbon barrels impart their signature aroma on smoked brisket, ribs, and pork shoulder, and simply prepared New England lobster and cod are featured alongside raw-bar items like littleneck clams and oysters on the half shell. Then there's the cherry atop the sundae: an outdoor patio where guests can enjoy fresh air and great views as they chow down.
